The Roosevelt Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) is dedicated to making every child’s potential a reality. This commitment extends from pre-K to high school students.
Roosevelt PTSA Scholarships:
Since 2016, the Roosevelt PTSA has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors who wish to continue their education beyond high school, whether that’s achieved through a college degree or through technical training and certification. The PTSA intent is to support students who are well-rounded, hard-working and show determination and potential.
Students are eligible to receive one (1) of the following scholarships:
- $500 Scholarship –Awarded to one graduating student who will attend a technical school or a two-year accredited institution of higher learning in the fall or spring semester of the next school year.
- $1,000 Scholarship– Awarded to one graduating student who will attend a four-year accredited institution of higher learning in the fall or spring semester of the next school year.
Applications must be received no later than April 15th and awarded at the PTSA Awards Ceremony that is usually held in May. If awarded, funds must be used for 2019-20 academic year.

Scholarships are awarded based on the availability of PTSA funds. Funding is made available through the generous donations provided by our members and community partners. The more we raise, the more we can do to ensure that our students, who have worked so hard for college acceptances, have the opportunity and the means to attend.
The Adrienne Robb-Fund Family Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Agency: Nassau PTA
Description: The Adrienne Robb-Fund/Fund Family Scholarship is for a student who is graduating from a Nassau County Public high school and who demonstrated resiliency in overcoming obstacles to learning; be it academic, language, social, emotional or due to special needs.
One $500 scholarship shall be awarded annually.
Deadline: Application must be postmarked by March 15 of the student’s graduating year.
