2020 Budget Vote and Trustee Elections - June 9, 2020
The Roosevelt Union-Free School District 2020 Elections and Budget Vote will be conducted by absentee ballot only. The District will send an absentee ballot with a postage-paid return envelope to residents whose names can be ascertained from the registration rolls utilized for the May 2019 budget vote and election as well as those residents whose names have been added to the rolls since that time.
Ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, AND must be returned in the provided envelope with the attestation on the envelope signed by the qualified voter.
According to the District's website, residents have until Thursday, June 4, 2020 to register as a voter to be eligible to vote.
Qualified Voters:
Definition of a qualified voter:
(i) Citizen of the United States
(ii) Eighteen years of age
(iii) Resident within the District for a period of 30 days prior to the date of the election; and
(iv) qualified to register for or vote at ane election in accordance with the provisions of section 5-106 of election law.
If you believe that you are a qualified voter and you do not receive an absentee ballot by June 1, 2020, please contact the district clerk.
