Roosevelt PTSA Participated in the 2017 Breast Cancer Walk

The Roosevelt Union Free School District PTSA (Parent, Student, Teacher Association) participated in the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Jones Beach State Park.  Parents, teachers, students and community members were invited to walk with us to support cancer survivors and their families. Making Strides is a celebration of survivors and an opportunity to remember loved-ones lost. It’s a day that shouldn’t be missed and won’t be forgotten.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk raises awareness and funds for innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.  The event was a non-competitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.   Click here to learn more about the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.

The Roosevelt PTSA would like to thank all the families and teachers who joined us for this walk.
